The leading Brazilian exporter and one of the largest producers of semi-trailers in the world, Randon made a new shipment of products to strategic customers in Africa in March. In partnership with the distributor Auto Sueco from Angola, semi-trailers of the Tank model and Dry Cargo units were shipped to that country. The products were exported in a complete form, in the CBU (Completely Built Up) format.
These deliveries are part of a set of negotiations with customers from that continent, which have already generated a contracted volume exceeding the total negotiated last year with customers from African countries. The best performance from sectors such as petroleum and mining explains the acceleration observed this year.
The trend noticed in the first months of 2023 adds to the historic results, such as those recorded last year. Randon sold a total of 5.7 thousand products to the international market, including 3.9 thousand exported from Brazil and 1.8 thousand units manufactured at plants abroad. These numbers were mainly driven by the entry into the U.S. market.
Randon has a national and international distribution network spread across more than 175 points. In addition to manufacturing units in Brazil, Argentina, and the United States – making the company the only Brazilian manufacturer of road implements with production units abroad – it works with partners to assemble semi-trailers at various strategic global logistics points.
