Randon Implements makes its first export of semi-trailers to Senegal

31/03/2021

The move follows the company's business recovery in African markets in 2021

Randon Implements is carrying out its first export of Platform semi-trailers to Senegal this month. Another shipment, of Tank and Tipper models, is scheduled for next month. This move follows Randon Implements' business recovery with African markets in 2021. In addition to the export to Senegal, another important milestone was the return of operations in Kenya, where the company has a partnership for a CKD (Completely Knocked Down) assembly unit for semi-trailer components exported disassembled from Brazil.

“These moves strengthen our continuous international presence strategy. We are managing to reverse a trend from recent years of decreased export volumes of semi-trailers to the African market due to the economic scenario in those countries. Our teams are strongly focused on prospecting new customers and opening opportunities in countries like Kenya, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, and now Senegal. This reinforces our strategy,” said Sandro Trentin, General Director of Randon Implements.

The leading Brazilian exporter in the sector, with a 70% market share, Randon Implements has over 50 years of international brand presence. During this period, the company has sold more than 70,000 units abroad. For African countries, this volume reaches approximately 20,000 products.

Currently, the main markets in the African continent for products exported in the Completely Built Up (CBU) model are Angola, Congo, Ivory Coast, Mozambique, and Ghana. The company also maintains strategic partnerships with CKD assembly units in Algeria, Ivory Coast, Egypt, and Ethiopia.
