01/11/2022

The move involves an initial investment of approximately 40 million dollars and strengthens the internationalization process of Randon Companies

Randon Companies announced on Tuesday, November 1st, the completion of the acquisition of the U.S. semi-trailer manufacturer Hercules. Announced to the market in July, the acquisition marks Randon Companies' entry into a new market for the Manufacturer business vertical. The move involves an initial investment of approximately 40 million dollars.

Hercules is a well-established manufacturer of semi-trailers specialized in container chassis models, with over 60 years of operation in the United States and headquartered in Hillsborough, New Jersey. Another important achievement, which progresses with the completion of the deal, is the certification obtained to manufacture products with the Randon brand on U.S. soil.

“We have achieved this historic milestone for the company, believing that entering one of the largest semi-trailer markets in the Western world is a key move in executing the sustainable growth strategy we’ve planned, expanding our international presence across different geographies, and maximizing synergies,” said the CEO of Randon Companies, Sérgio L. Carvalho.

Randon Implements is the largest manufacturer of semi-trailers in Latin America and is among the largest in the world. In addition to six plants across Brazil, the company maintains a manufacturing facility in Argentina and works with partners to assemble semi-trailers at various strategic global logistics points in Central America and Africa. It also has a national and international distribution network with more than 175 points.
