The innovations introduced in the New R Line, which was launched in June as a guideline for the future of Randon Implementos (Trailers Division), are beginning to take shape in the most modern generation of grain trailers ever produced by the company. Innovations and technologies aligned with the New R concept include modularity, electromobility, embedded intelligence and sustainability, resulting in products prepared for the future. Weight reduction stands out, as it provides, depending on the version, a gain in transported net cargo of more than 800 kilos in the semi-trailer and more than 1,200 kilos in the double trailer.
The new generation of one of the Company's bestsellers brings significant improvements both in standard and optional items, in addition to technologies that translate into transport benefits. One of these benefits is the Ecoplate 3 panel, an evolution from previous applications. Lighter, it combines the durability of plastic and the strength of aluminum, dispensing with the need of painting the panel. It significantly reduces impacts on the environment, and is more resistant to impacts, especially on the inside of the cargo box.
The grain line panels feature extruded aluminum profiles in their structure, are welding-free and lighter to open and close. The new insulating rubbers ensure excellent sealing to the body, resulting in less grain loss to the carrier. In addition, some configurations of the product feature a high-strength aluminum floor and new polymeric discharge gates, which means extra lightness and excellent performance in cargo flow.
Smart composites are already a reality in some of the fastening elements of the product's accessories, such as the wingstay, which is 65% lighter when compared to the previous model made of steel. The New R Grain Trailer features a new lighting system, optimized with a larger number of LEDs in all functions, and is already in compliance with CONTRAN Resolution Nº 667/17, which will come into force as of 2024.
